One day's worth of hunting. Wife barely raised an eyebrow with a "mmm, that's nice" comment.....I don't think she's a believer.... What's it going to take?

Tent rope tighteners, gold eagle, Great Seal, and U.S. Army 4-hole buttons, U.S. button and part of another one, Indian Head, 2x V Liberty nickels, large cent, 2x seated dimes (an 1841 :icon_thumleft:) a Trime, glass top to coffee percolator, pocket watch parts, cannon fuse lighter.

Not sure the caliber of the brass shell.

Nice haul!!! I know what you mean about the wife!! Thats why I post...I show my wife the stuff I find and she says great, your not going to leave that junk around are you?.. lol...
George.

Those are ALL my favorite kind of finds! Congratulations my friend.

Wow, those coins are really nice. What a haul.

That is one awesome day there! Congrats. That's funny, I can totally can relate to the wife thing.

Nice finds! I really like the counter stamped Large Cent and the Three Cent has nice detail. The shell casing looks like a brass shot gun shell by the size of it.

Thanks 462, I was wondering if it might be an old shotty.

That's the first stamped LC I have seen. Awesome!

Cool tighteners. I guess I like the simpler CW things: tent rope adjuster.jpg

GREAT finds! What does the counterstamp on the LC say, and have you looked it up in Brunk yet?

Hey fuzymunky!! Really Neat Finds and CONGRATS!! Your brass cartridge appears to be a 44 caliber rim fire Henry Rifle base!! GOOD LUCK and GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!!

I love tent rope tighteners! The two other guys I hunt with hate 'em. They'll leave them sitting on the ground next to their filled holes (which in and of itself is a no-no, regardless the target). I've finally convinced them to save them for me. The way I see it they're all part of history, and very few people get to hold/own items like this.

I've actually never heard of Brunk. I feel kind of stupid now, lol. I'll check it out and see what I can find.

The stamp says J.W. Covel

Nice finds. Love the Stamped LC!

I have the same problem with my old lady every time i find something she says "ohh thats cool.." then she says "well i dont mean to sound uninterested but you gotta look at it from a woman's point of view" so i walked into the kitchen and looked out the window... she asked what i was doing i told her "im looking at it from a woman's point of view.. for some reason now she doesnt ask what i find anymore

But the way i look at it you did a pretty damn good job love the coins you found

I have an awesome wife who loves history! She will even post my really old stuff on her Facebook page but she's not a fan of the other random stuff sitting by the sink waiting to be cleaned either. :laughing7:
