Coinstar, for people who don't know what they have.

I stopped by a Redbox a little while ago to return a DVD but the box was out of order. Moving to Plan B, I stopped at a Walmart close by because I knew they had Redbox and I also needed printer ink. At this Walmart, the Redbox and Coinstar machines are side by side; my habit is to always check the Coinstar for discards (if you know what I mean). This includes looking on top, which my height allows me to do if I get up on my tiptoes:laughing7:. From that vantage point, I could see the obvious look of a silver quarter which, of course, the Coinstar spit out. Fortunately, someone put it up there, disgusted that they wouldn't get 25 cents worth of credit from the machine. What they didn't realize was that said quarter was 80% silver; yes, this one's from Canada, a 1962 Elizabeth II. Would I have been happier with an SLQ? Yes, but you won't hear complaints coming from me! Free silver and I didn't have sweat stinging my eyes to find it.
