I was watching a lady put a can of coins in the Coinstar machine today and the machine was kicking out those new goldtone $1 coins,so I offer to buy her from them and give her a $5 bill for 5 of them, she says that's to much money and gives me another handfull of them.So I got $20 worth of coins for $5.I think she thought they were quarters.:icon_scratch:

Gotta love it!

Bless her heart,

So let me get this right.. in other words you sit by the coinstar machine all day and wait for people like her to come by and then make $$ in the process.. hey thats a pretty good gig!! :occasion14:

Did you tell her that those were dollar coins?

To each his own but I couldn't have done that to her. I like to keep food karma comin my way :)

Great deal lol

oooooook .. I make it a habit to alwaws check the C.S. slots for rejects ;but hey IM O.C.D.

No I don't stand at the machine all day and wait,I work in a grocery store and on my way out of the door you have to pass by the machine, and I new where the lady lived and later that day I felt bad about buying her coins so cheap so I gave her $15 for the rest of the coins. She didn't understand that they were dollar coins.

The Bank can only give you face value for silver coins knowing full well they are worth many times face value. Be most of us know that banks are a ripoff. Nonetheless, some of us want to keep the karma tilted in our favor and try to give a fair deal to those we find in possession of such coins. I, personally offer 70 - 90% of metal value. That's my preference. But I'm not blast you for doing it your way. Good Find Amigo.
