Cold Sunday Diggins'

Hi all,

I guess I didn't get enough of a fix yesterday so I went out again today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. I drove to an old school I haven't been to before. Yesterday was 57 degrees, but today I was out in 22 degrees with a wind chill of 10. Not a bad day though, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the ground was still soft.

I came back with 29 pennies (including a 1953 wheat), 4 nickels, 25 dimes and 22 quarters, for a grand total of $8.49. I also found a kid's ring, 2 Speedpark tokens, a Disney pendant and a neat religious coin that appears to be pretty old, if anyone has any info about it please let me know.

I had a great time and didn't want to leave, but my legs felt like lead and I was getting hungry. I'm going back to the school this spring..the field was huge and I didn't come close to covering all the ground.

i have my little girl here and she said that religious coin is just a token used to spread the gospel she saw one in the catholic shop near our house

Thanks, the writing on it "Good For One Dollar In Trade" sounded like an old phrase, so I thought it was old.

Thanks Nana, Prober and Southern Boy, I'm idle now since that last little sleet/snow, it's starting to melt off but the ground's still hard.

Nope, just a kid's ring, fooled me for a minute..the school was about 10 miles away in an older area.
