💥💥 Abandoned town in the middle of nowhere, Somme beauty recoveries💥💥

Yesterday, we went to MD to an abandoned town, kind of 1.5 hours driving from Chihuahua City.

During the Spain colony in Mexico people used to work in mines, they built their houses close to rivers at top of small hills areas, in that way, they can have water easily for them and their animals. Living at top of small hills was for safety reason, be protected from apaches attacks.

Nice area for MD due to those towns were abandoned I’m guessing more than 50 years ago and no easy that some people arrive there; Mexican thorn bushes is the challenge for swinging our metal detectors.

Interesting coin: 1914 Estado de Chihuahua 5 C 25mm copper.
A 'Revolution' era coin.
This coin came in three distinctive varieties and each variety had up to seven 'sub-varieties'. Your coin is differentiated from the other two types in that the left side of the "C" is rounded to the left. In the other two types, the 'C' is either pointed or oval shaped on the left.
Although I can't see it, the engraver's name--SALAZAR would be found on the obverse, below the radiance.
The coin's greatest value is as a tool (relic) to educate about the Mexican Revolution.

On my opinion, Fork was the best finding, we had found different types of forks, included some maded with silver, or old forks used by Mexican soldiers but never that small size.

I agree, very nice spot, a ghost town .

We are planning that this coming Saturday we will visit a new spot, not explored yet, where an old gold coin was found by a cowboy who was digging a hole for set a fence

Yes, that is a nice fork. I think maybe a pickle fork or olive fork. Small size and 3 tines. 👍🏼

There are se eral good spots here in the area for hunting, but not easy to get there. Most of the time are private properties and we do need to find owners for permission

we have timber rattlers here, and copperhead. i have not came up on any, but my neighbor had a copperhead on his patio a while back.
