Colonial Cellar hole hunt dating back to the 1600's..

Finally got out to do some detecting:icon_thumright:
I was going to scout out a new site on land trust property that was way out in the woods about 2 miles. So i packed up the detector in the backpack and grabbed the moutain bike..
Upon arriving i discovered there was a big function at this place so i decided to head over to my favorite cellar of all time:headbang:

This cellar is a couple miles out to i call it button city because i dug over 100 buttons and relics from this site..It dates back to the late 1600's but its hayday was around 1730 in the history books..Its also declared haunted in the paranormal books and local history..I must say there is a creepy sense when your out there..Must have been a really busy place at one time in history:coffee2:

Well i grabbed some goodies digging every iffy signal i have pounded this place pretty good.

Killer Dandy button with a sunburst:headbang:

Strange star shaped decorated relic:dontknow:

KG copper..Not many coins found out there they were as poor as you could get:-\

Horse hardware..Saddle i think.

Broken jews harp and some buttons:hello2:

I had fun and got some exercise..

Have fun out there:hello:

Blaze

Glad you found some time to go out.
One of those pictures looks very familiar to me. I might have been there.
I'll shoot you a PM and ask if it is the same place.

The small item to left of the chape is a drawer handle pin and may belong with the engraved escution..
Love those sites where you can feel the ghosts of the past.

Good but most of those are 18th C, where are the 17th C?

Once again, great saves!

Good but most of those are 18th C, where are the 17th C?

Cru no 17th century this time out.

I have some blowhole buttons and a small batwing buckle from this site..

But the local history dates it to settled first in the 1690's..
One of the first settlement in the area..
Thanks for looking in detail at my post:laughing9:
