Got out Sunday with Louis and we hit a spot that has ties to the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. Was there about 10 minutes when I found this 1773 Colonial Virginia Halfpenny.
It rang out loud and clear at about 6 inches and was a welcome find. I expect it was lost there by one of the several families that lived on this property over the past 250 years.(Haven't finished cleaning, so will post more pics when I'm done).
Afterwards Louis and I also got into a bottle pit and dug several late 1800s and early 1900s bottles and an ink. Will post some pics of them once I've finished cleaning them. I also believe I found me a patch of poison ivy roots in addition:X HH and good luck at DIV.....I know I can't wait
