Colonial Farm Hunt - Circa 1760

[Kirk PA]

Hello, Gents, it has been awhile since I have posted. This is the first time out since May. I got out today to my colonial farm and it did not disappoint. I found an 1818 Coronet cent, 7 buttons (2 Dandy), and a nice ornate shoe buckle frame piece.

Keep the passion high!

I can't tell from your pic what had been planted in the field, but it sure looks like a nice sized one. I have yet to find a Dandy...my best one is a mid 1700's sized button that is plain, but even the late 1700's/early 1800's buttons I find always renew my energy to dig when they show up. I hope your season is on track now and we see more very nice finds like those soon.

Congrats for finally getting out and swinging the coil. You sure came back with a bang. Looks like you have a great site to hunt.

Thanks, Gentlemen. This farm is 299 acres. I still have a lot of ground to hit.

Way to go Kirk! I see I'm not the only Pennsylvanian not hunting much.... We both need to fix that this fall.
