Colonial field keeps giving

Today I continued my hunt of an old colonial encampment. Found a 1808 draped bust half copper then a 1774 half real in almost au condition. Love being self employed ..can sneak away to feed my addiction.

Congrats on a couple great finds. The half real is incredible, and the draped bust, I think, is one of the best designed coined ever minted, however 1807 was the last year they were minted, so yours must have an earlier date than 1808.

I believe you may have an 1805 DB there. Hard to tell but looks to be blown up on my iPad. That half real is ridiculous! What a great hunt! Congrats

The draped bust is very hard to see the date really looks like an 1808 . This pic taken from coin world magazine. looks like the 1808 was a draped bust.

I worked on it a little bit ..won't take much to kill this one. Likely brushed a little olive oil on it brought the date up..defiantly 1808
