Found this in a field where I found the 1723 Woods Hibernia halfpenny. It's crudely made and looks old but I just can't figure out what it is. Is made of brass and rang up very high on the Nox. It clearly attached to something in four places and almost looks like some sort of a saddle adornment but I'm not sure. Front has a space where I expected to see writing or initials but it is blank. Any ID help appreciated!
