I finally managed to do a quick stop at my colonial site during work hours and got a little farther over from where I've been hitting it up. No coins today but got a few nice keepers and the little face was kind of a surprise. When the gold gilt flat button popped out I almost had a heart attack thinking a colonial gold coin or something. Anyone know what the face may be off of and what the decorative round thing is? Thanks for looking and I know more coins will come out of there soon. I have to get down and hunt the site when I get some free time from work! [emoji2]

The face looks really small, cool recovery on that one. The washed buttons are a nice find especially when a lot of the wash remains on them, good luck on the return hunt

Nice gelt button. The decorative round thing may be an early valve twist knob. I've seen either the same or very similar for outdoor spickets.

Nice assortment of finds

Maybe you found Caesar and the wheel to his chariot, lol. Very nice buttons and some whatsits that I hope someone can identify.
