What is up my Tnet friends:wave:

Got out to a few sites to get the season started:icon_thumleft:

A random roam in the woods shows signs of a Colonial quarry so i hit around them a bit.

Grabbed a few Colonial flat buttons and a 1722 or 23 Hibernia copper..

Stopped at a cellar i hit a while back and nabbed a 1847 large cent..

Today i hit a cellar area with a huge barn and a quarry on site..

Grabbed a Seated quarter love token or name letter pin:headbang:

Also i was amazed to find what i always thought was a saddle Rosette when i found them well it turns out to be part of a Carriage rail of some sort:icon_scratch:
I was surprised when i seen it i find these but never on iron..

I had fun that rock was something else the way they were quarrying it with the pin and feathers still in place..

Have fun out there and watch out for those Bees:laughing7:

Its gonna be a good year and good luck to you all:hello:

Blaze

Great pics from that site and very nice finds, that love token is awesome!

Excellent JB!!

Incredible finds and pics. Amazing the work that went into the cutting of stone. Found an old water common for a ghost town I am hunting here in TN. The old lane that led down into it had cut stone walls and several walls had been built around the spring itself. Was just thinking about how much work must have went into the stone itself. The coins are awesome. Congrats.:icon_thumright:

Beautiful pics.Beautiful finds.Equal great hunt.Congrats.

You are up to your old tricks J.B.!!! You recovered good coins and relics everywhere you went Bud. The quarry pics are very intersting. You are off to a great start to the fall season. WTG & HH, Q.

Great finds.. Very nice.post..

Great post JB, your love token is really nice. I found a rossette piece similar to yours and like you I thought it was horse bling but now I now extactly what is was for.... carriage bling, Thanks.
I wonder how they use to drill the holes in the rock back in the day? It must have been time consuming that's for sure.

Nice rocks, seriously. Looks like they just up , and left in the middle of the job ?

The love token is very well done, and a great keeper. Will look great in your glass display.

Love New England and the history, only other place I also would be a Civil war site. Nice job JB and whistle if you need a wing man.

I like that seated quarter love token, really cool..:icon_thumleft:
Maybe in the fall we'll get a hunt together.

Nice digs Johnny B ! I came across a small quarry last time out. It is amazing how they just feathered those granite slabs into useable pieces. Your pics show it perfectly. Nice score on that love token too.

dude you can sell them cut stone pieces on e-bay! lol have fun shippin those! big bucks layin right there though.nice finds! yeah watch them bees! Todd got nailed last week! was my turn to do the smirkin that day!

Love the finds JB. I grew up behind a granite quarry in Quincy MA that used a railroad system to move the stone from the quarry down the hill. Pretty fascinating stuff.
