I can't seem to figure out what this item was. I found this at my spot where there is pretty much nothing but colonial era items. Rosehead nails, 1700s coins and buttons, etc. It's lead, it is bent and would be about 4" long if it weren't. Any ideas of what it could be? Appreciate the help if any!
Cheers! Matt

It seems as though it was an actual object of some sort. Almost seems like a head on one end to hook into something. I could be wrong. This is purely curiosity. It won't make or break my day, but nonetheless very odd.

It's definitely lead. I have found knives, a fork and a spoon in that area.

I do see a tang on one end. Maybe a homemade replacement for a handle or ???
