Found this at a coastal colonial/CW site. I'm just starting to go through the various pottery shards and ceramics that i have found this year and need help on this one. Looks to me to be a teapot lid. If anyone can I'd it and maybe assign an age to it that would be greatly appreciated! No markings on it unfortunately. Thanks

I love diggin old porcelain. Looks like a sugar bowl lid to me. Very cool, often these are in many pieces. The little loop handle is probably out there somewhere, maybe in your shard collection bags.

It looks to be 5 inches across. That's a big sugar bowl or teapot, I think...

It looks like about three or four inches to me. Sometimes when pics are taken with a ruler behind it. It makes the object look bigger. Agree, if it is five inches it may be too big for one.

my guess is that it's off of a small crock.
