FAT had asked me to post up some frames a few weeks ago so here's another frame of PF's found many years ago on a private ranch in the Great Basin.

That is a most beautiful frame. I really like seeing frames of personal finds. I realize the amount of time and effort spent putting them together. I know every piece has a story about when you picked it up and just that can make them extra special in a personal point of view. It is the untold story all of these pieces could tell is what really makes me smile hard.

Awesome relics!

A nice shoshone knife in there too (large black one @ 4:00).

Very nice collection guessing southern Great Basin ? by the different material .

That's great! Good points and about every color you could imagine!!

That's quite a nice frame of beautiful points and awls. :icon_thumright:

Do you know what material this is?

It’s agate/Chalcedony....probably acquired from some small cobbles. I find similar small pieces while out hiking. Most are solid clear like the small side notched point in the bottom left of that frame. Here’s another from similar material

It looked very familiar from far away but mine is definitely not agate. I wish that kind of material was around here I’d love to find an agate or crystal point.

Dennis, Central-ish Basin

Some times I forget how large the Great Basin is lol . The Great Basin is the largest area of contiguous endorheic watersheds in North America. It spans nearly all of Nevada, much of Oregon and Utah, and portions of California, Idaho, Wyoming, and Baja California, Mexico.
