1976 (April, 1) Public Law 94-257 authorizes the striking of medals to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence by Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the last surviving signer of the Declaration. Your coin is one of those minted...

This reply about the same coin from another site:

"I don't have any specific information about your "First Coining Meeting" medal, but I have seen them sell on eBay before for a couple dollars apiece -- however they were in better condition than yours.

The only reference on the internet that I could find describes it as :
"Another of the many commemoratives from the bicentennial in 1976 both official and crassly commercial. Value: keep and enjoy! (Not everything has to have a price)"

Sorry I couldn't be more help"

1953 - Elizabeth II Regina Coronata MCMLIII, in center coin has a crown with EIIR Canada underneath. To commememorate her advance to power. Value...very little... one is being sold on e-bay with 9 other coins - the entire lot is bid at $2.50. :(

However... there is another on e-bay that is a single coin, and the Buy It Now is $25.00.

Or - This $4.00 price on the coin from a Canadian auction site: http://auction.gatewestcoin.com/cgi-bin/viewItem.cgi?item-number=1001968&t=194453
