I got out early before 90 degree temp"s hit.Headed back up to the field's at Antietam, needed to pick up some beet's from the farmer too. When I got there I saw he had two huge field's that he just disced,so away I went. When the plate came out I thought it was a pewter spoon because of the size.....nope knew right away what I had because of the edge's.Scanned the hole again and that's when I found the letter D in two piece's.Also found a button back.My buddy Roger just said the other day I was due for a plate soon.....keep on talking!!!!

That's a Sweet Plate Find Joe! :headbang: :headbang: A Baby-Sized Company "D" Box Plate....You and Roger are onto another lil hot spot there, 2 plates on the same day is a Killer day in ANYONE's BOOK!!! That plate is going to look good once Roland or whoever you get repairs it! Congratulations buddy! :hello2: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Thank's Josh.....gonna be down soon. Anything on the plate you might be able to tell me about? Take Care Bud!!!

Good find....when I was hunting the South, I found 2 plates, but never the "baby" plate. Great find.
Are there records of plates being found with a letter found on the reverse of the plate that shows the Company
of the person who wore the plate? This is the first time I have heard of it. I'm just asking if it were possible
that the letter was lost at the same time, or in the same ;place and ended up "by accident" under the reverse of
the plate......and even when I am typing this, I realize how much of a coincidence this would have been. BUT,
I have never heard of a letter being attached to the reverse of a plate.
Give me my cum-uppin in the CW edu department. :read2:
