Quarter Division = No entries. I know they are some out there. ;)
Nickle Division = Several found 30's 40's and 50's but a 1935 Buffalo was found. Division winner = Urbss
Dime Division = 4 silver (oldest 1947) Division Winner =b1pw3ha
Halves Division = All found are 40% silver, 3 hunters reported finds Division winner = Immy (17 halves)
Penny Division = Many Wheats found oldest 1911, most 143 Wheats Division Winner = Pennyworth
Odd coin Division = Several Canadian, 1 Barbados, 3 Bermuda 1- 2000 type 2 Lincoln = Division Winner = Enamel

Many people have hunted, many more have viewed and enjoyed the hunt! Reports of past Indian heads finds were posted. I believe the total of silver was 30 coins, Immy with 17 of those would be the Silver Champ! Total number of finds would be Pennyworth with 143 Wheats! In my view any who hunted and found either one for their collection or fun came out the winner in the week end hunt! What is a 2000 type 2 Lincoln?

"What is a 2000 type 2 Lincoln?"

This puzzled me too (and I'm a penny collector!) so I went to the Red Book and found that certain 2000-P Lincolns were accidentally made using the reverse die design meant for proofs. The way to tell is check out the "AM" in America on the reverse. A normal one will show the right leg of the "A" and the left leg of the "M" so close that they appear to be touching. The type 2 has a clear gap between the base of the letters.

Hi everyone,
Immy is correct. I first found out about these mint errors when I first started collecting back in 2000. I had put some away in tubes and when I went back to check I had 2 of these in mint condition. They also exist for 1998 and 1999 with 1999 being the toughest to find. I have found a total of 5 2000, 2 1998 , but no 1999. Always remember it's not how old the pocket change is , but what to look for that counts.

Considering it was spur-of-the-moment this was a good competition. Maybe we should discuss $$$ limits for each demonination now. How's this for starters...

pennies - $50
nickels - $100
dimes - $300
quarters & halves - $500 each

My first $40 nickel batch of the new year yielded minor results-

1946
1954D
1955D
1959D (2)
1988 Canadian
