Confederate Button?

I found these two old buttons at the same site where I have found a union artillery button and a cw navy button also a union carbine sling buckle. My question is about the button on the right in the pictures. This old button appears to have the remains of an eagle maybe. Do you think it's civil war?
It's appearance is crude compaired to the Union button found. I think maybe it's confederate.
Thanks for any helpful info.

I can't make it out Kirk. Can you get a shot in better light or pour a little milk on it and the details will stand out.

Instead of the milk trick, try dusting the button with talcum power. Next, rub it lightly with your finger, just enough to remove the powder on the highest areas of the button's surface. Sometimes that works pretty well at highlighting details.

Thanks for the Tip PBK I'll try it. I've already tried soap and water, milk, peroxide it may be too far gone.
