Last year we did well to find 5 new Roman Sites, today I confirmed our 1st one for 2019. This area was accidentally discovered OTWBTTC after finishing a low yield Roman Site earlier this month. This is another low yield sister site close to the other one & it only took us 5 hours to grid the whole scatter. I'm glad we came back because we thought the few stray finds might have just be associated with the track-way.:metaldetector:

13 Roman Bronze Coins
The biggest Lead Pot Mend we have found, it feels like 1/2 a pound & must have been a very big storage jar!
Roman Terminal to a Locking Mech.
Near complete Child's Roman Bracelet
Tudor Thimble
Unusual Roman Leather Mount (A first)
Fibula Catchplate
Part of a loop to a Romano-Celtic Toggle
The Terminal to a Skillet Handle (17th C)
Medieval Buckle
Hammered Pennies of Ed I & Henry III
Tudor Sword Chape with a Sword Point still in it! (another first!)
Roman Silver Denarius AD71 Vespasian.

Another great day even if the recent rain made it the stickiest day we have done in ages!:hello:

These new fields all look very good. Nighthawks and competition missed a lot for sure. :occasion14:
This was a pretty exposed spot by a busy road & on a hill, only 200 metres away from where we parked!
