So I'm new here. Obviously. And I'm just wondering what all this stuff is about? How do people find all this stuff. If anyone could provide some info to get me started thatd be great!

So how do people locate things like arrowheads? You obviously can't use a metal detector.

Find a fresh plowed field near a river or creek. Get a good pair of walking shoes and start walking.. Look for anything that may look like a shape.. I have found a lot of odd shaped dirt looking for them. But only found a few over the years.. Happy hunting..

For me.. it's having a keen eye, walking the hills, forest and streams looking for rocks.. But often one may find more then just rocks.. So don't limit yourself to just metal detecting.. hit a few yard sales, flea markets and dumpsters too..

a hole lot of research the first thing is were do you want to look and for what.Like i tell everyone find a place then research that place go to the library then go to the reference department thats always a good starting point.See if they have an historical society then go to the local bar's and talk to the old guys they have nothing more to do than tell you stories or if you dont like bars go to the cheap dinners lots of older people go to or the church and ask the preacher if he can point you out to someone that would know a lot about that area it has worked great for me and if not always the property that you will want to go on the people belong to the church and i have found out that a small donation goes a long way. well good luck and hope i was some help.

The question do you mean things or information to find things? What type of things do you want to find? You can just go to the park for coins and other items or you can get permission to hunt someones back yard{ prefertably an old one} or you can do a little research and go for the thrill of the big one.
