Connecticut Copper, Seated dime, flying eagle, Standing Liberty

My final hunt for this season. So i wanted to be a good one.. I was thinking Chain Cent all day..Well it never happen..Oh well. I was happy with my hunt, I gave it my all, I even went to 2 spots, which I never do..I figure if i pick a spot thats where im suppose to be..lol.
Anyway first target was the standing..I thought at least im not skunked. Then came one ring with the stones in it..
Then came the flying eagle..I really like finding them. That was the first old coin i ever found..Then about a hour later I got a nice large copper sound..and Im thinking come on Chain cent!!! Nobody could tell me it wasn't..lol Well it wasn't, It was the Connecticut..It least it was a copper..
Well then my next hit almost blow my headphones off..It was the huge silver ring..Came up like a silver dollar.
I was disappointed.. Was hoping for a 8reale..Yea, 8reale ABE!!!!! BUT NO..LOL
My last target of the day was just a little blip i heard..Only reason i dug was because i didn't hear any iron.
Dug down about 8inchs and still didn't hear a strong signal, stuck my pin pointer in and it told me a few more inches...
Well down at the bottom in the side wall on its side was the seated...Wow!!! That CTX goes deep..
So thats my last day detecting for some time..Work is going to be crazy for awhile and my wife needs a brake from my hobby!!! Lol....

I know..Thats what i was thinking, like how many years people been coming though that spot?? Especially when i pulled that Copper out and one foot away almost the same depth was a 1981 dime..
I was like no way! Thats crazy..Makes for hard digging..Thats why you have to dig everything..At some of my sites..

George I'm going to try to make a point here. Had I gone out metal detecting and found the items you did this day I would be pulling my want/wish list out and crossing off the following items.

Flying Eagle...........check
SLQ......................check
Connecticut copper.....check
Seated dime.........check

So you can see why I read a post like this one and am in awe of your finds. Congratulations my friend. I hope 2015 will bring you some firsts and many more goodies.

Trust me, George, you wouldn't be finding CW relics in my area. We had CW activity to the N, S, E, and W of us but not much else went on here with perhaps some troop movement through the area and from what I have been able to research not much of that either. It seems the Union troops headed south went to the east or west of my area. So yeah, we're screwed here. I'm glad I like mercury dimes.
