Well, since this interaction, and the advice of other Tnet members....
I have now looked up the dress of 3 coinstars this week, helps to be friendly with store managers....
There really is a cup inside the machine, that IS labeled "dirt cup"....
Tally is about a dozen foreigns, 5 squished pennies, toasted IH, $10 in clad.... lots of which are dented and crusty....
What makes some coins hit the reject tray, and others fall into the dirt cup, is beyond me....
But if access is given to me for both.... then it doesn't matter
