Cool afer dark finds/ See photos

Seeing as how it was dark and all, Charlie and I did not expect to find anything as he went for his walk and a quick swim.

The first one is a cool point that I have not seen. Any ideas as to the type or is this another unnamed fishing spear tip? Now the small birds may look like rocks to some of you. Rest assured, I have found many many many of the exact same shape and size in this spot. They are always in the sand at the waters edge at low tide, all have the same tapered base and are the same material. The yellow one is about the 10th one that I have found. The others are the most prevalent and I have quite a few.

The other one (withe the small "birds") is what I think is a broken Morrow Mountain. Not sure about that one.

OK....first of all im not an expert by no means!!!...but I read your posts quite often, and im not sure if this is a joke or if you truely think that you have artifacts? With an exception of a couple of pieces that you have posted in the past, I have seen nothing that is an artifact. I have seen a lot of pieces of broken glass, and a lot of arrowhead shaped rocks, that are not arrowheads! JMHO

Hmmmm.... I'm not sure if your question is a joke. First..... do you really believe that the first photo in this post is NOT an arrowhead. Second.... the glass is a questionable topic by my own admission and is open to debate....one of the reasons for this site.... you know, to learn, discuss, etc. It's a recurring theme and if you read as you say you do, you should know that glass points are not my original idea.
More importantly...... I hardly believe that you have read to many of my posts, or you would not make such a strange comment. Do a search of my site name and see the many arrowheads and pipes that I have posted and when you realize how inappropriate your comment is.... I will be here to accept your apology. While your pontificating your own rudeness.... take a look at a just few of my recent and past photos. And if I sound rude..... its a natural response to a rude comment. If you want to question someones artifacts... how about a P.M. instead of publicly challenging a person who has been nothing but nice to everyone here. By the way.... don't the rules here prohibit calling or insinuating that a persons artifacts are fake? if you don't have anything nice to say.... send me a message and I will be happy to deal with you. Are you finding any of that material that is not in arrowhead form? Liked knapped pieces of the material. You on salt or fresh water? You found quartz there right? Knapped flakes,spurs and little chips? Looks like one knocked of piece of a spall or core towards the bottom Brother.

I do see flakes and fragment's of this material often. More often is the tons of white quartz flakes that cover the area. This is fresh water that I am finding this stuff on. Also... what is a "Spall/Core". Thanks for looking and posting.

Hey man.... I do appreciate your taking the time to explain this to me..... i am still just two years into the hobby and learning all of the time. Very cool of you to do that. I have toask.... why did you ask about another body of water entring the river near the site? I ask because, you are right on target! You have my curiosity way up now Is there something else I should keep an eye open for?

Regarding the glass..... man.... that seems to rub many the wrong way... as do some of the "unorthodox" points that I find. In my first year, I was posting a lot of simple rocks that I mistook for points. I have read, spoken with local experts, researched local museums, etc and have come to know that much of what I find is indigenousness to this area and even north into North Carolina. Molly is very familiar with the material I deal with. There is such a diverse array of projectile points here and the material is not such that you can always see flaking. Add to that, most of the pints are from the water and have been worn throughout the centuries. Its only because I find projectiles that are not typed and are not common, that I am not so quick to rule out the glass, simply because they dont look like the California points. Take another look at the points in the frame that I posted above and see how many show flaking like so many from other states. Know what I mean? So... it's still open for debate but I hate to rule anything out simply because someone has not seen it before. Trust me... if it turns out to be just glass.... I will be the first to admit it. I can tell you that in most cases, the age of the glass is correct to have been used by Indians in the area.

Anyways, yeah alot of people on here get butt hurt when some one picks on their stuff that they have worked hard for, but if you served in the military then you should have fairly thick skin and can let that stuff roll of your back, I know I would.

"If" i searved in the military I should have thick skin.... because you do? hahahahah. Ok. After 47 years of life, 25 of them in Law Enforcement, I guess a digital voice on a website has set me straight. I need to toughen up hahaha. But really man.... It's not about thin skin and tough talk.... it's a pet peeve of mine and it aint gonna change. What is the pet peeve? It's people on the internet who feel so secure in their anonymity, that they just blurt out insulting crap with no regard for anyone else. in the real world...( and here on this site) I give nothing but respect and courtesy to people. My skin is not as tough as yours I guess, because I expect that same level of courtesy back. So... for ark to openly suggest that i am so board that I would spend two years posting non items as a "joke" is nothing short of rude and provocative. Your little comments about "If" I was in the military (implication is that I may have lied about that fact), and thin skin is not far behind. It just shows me that no matter how courteous people in a group are (re read everyone of my posts on this site and see for yourself) there will always be the negative, downer folks who feel a need to cut at someone from the safety of a laptop. Sorry if that offends you but I hate people like that. I have seen many items posted that I laugh at as obvious geofacts. I see some here that I believe were probably not found in a legitimate fashion. The difference is... i keep those negitive thoughts to myself. i have no need to "school" other people who I dont even know. Its not my job.

So thanks for your attempt at educating a guy you know nothing about save whats been posted on this site. I am happy for you that you are so together that nothing offends you. I always found a good place to look was where two creeks or rivers joined together. Thanks brother...... I do love getting out and its become an addiction haha. In fact, Charlie (my dog) and I are sitting here waiting for a major thunderstorm to pass ad we will head out again. I love to search during or after a heavy rain and we are in the middle of one now. We should be on site within 20 minutes. I agree about the creeks and rivers and believe thats why there is such a variteyof stuff to find here. The site is a historically recognized simmer cam/fishing site that was used by the Indians for as far back as they were in this area and right up until the last of them were driven out. Actually I have all rocks and some of my rocks are artifacts hahaha. .. its most often how something is said rather than what is said.... know what I mean? I would never dispute that I have posted items that I was not sure about and wanted other opinions on. Thats how I discovered that an item was simply a rock. I am still new at this. As for the thick skin comment... .thats great man.... its your thing and I am proud of you. But who is any of us to take it upon ourselves to instill our values onto others....on an artifact website? I mean... what if I was some pathetic puke who never served in the military, never had a career and was in fact a fat slob in a wheelchair with a very low self esteem who was under the care of a doctor for all kinds of issues...BUT was into artifacts? is it it some guy on the other end of the web's duty to call me out and expose me in front of a group that i clearly find worth associating with almost daily? What's your mission? Force the pathetic lier who can't tell the difference between a rock and an artifact to roll his wheelchair in front of a bus in shame? Thats why.... MOLLY!!!! I was wonder where my backup was hahaha. i appreciate your support and yes... .I always think of that Morrow Mountain and how most (almost all) were sure that it was a simple rock. That was mostly due to the lack of visible flaking but here again.... as you and I know.... thats the case with the material here. As I said... even the clear points above show almost no (and in many cases none) flaking. You know.... the last thing that I want is a conflict with anyone here. Thats the ironic thing. I am not an intern et guy at all and the only place that I visit regularly is this site. The reason is that 99% of the people here are very very nice and we all share the same interest. of course there are various levels of expertise and that is what makes it so interesting. It seems so easy to get along here when we all have a choice to either interact or just spectate. Like I said... some things i see posted h ere.... I have a negative opinion on. I just dont post it. Anyway...... I knew that you would fly in here sooner or later and am always happy to see (hear from) you. Stay safe and happy hunting.

(I'm sorry I used that phrase. It is my understanding that 'all y'all' has recently filed a class action lawsuit in regards to forever being prefaced by the word f***.) Keep gettinout there bud.
