Had to take advantage of the nice weather. Dan was doing baseball with his son and Nate was planning on hooking up with a girl “friend” so I was solo. I hit a park that has produced silver, IH’s, and two SLQ’s. Picked up another SLQ.
A nice pleasant surprise even though it is not worth much. Too bad too cause it has an S mintmark. Any non-recessed date S mintmark SLQ would be worth over $18 in good condition. I have now found 4 SLQ’s within the last 12 months. Only 1 had a readable date. Nate has found two SLQ’s – both with bold dates.
The other “worthless” find is a wheat penny that had one small green corrosive spot over the date. You can read the last digit which is a 2. A 1922 wheat penny in good condition has a red book value of $400. I have it soaking in olive oil. It is more likely a 1932. Doubtfully a 1942 as it has the green pantina.
Anyway it was great to get out in nice weather and find a couple keepers.
