Cool Flower

This flower is at my sons house. As I walked past them I just had to get a photo. There seems to be so many beautiful, strange looking flowere around nowadays.

I think the flowers are some type of Astilbe. I may be wrong....I just went out to my garden and read the little plastic tag near one of ours. My wife insists on keeping the tags even though they drive me crazy whenever I fertilize.

Very pretty, thank you! Yes Astilbe it is, they can be grown in zones 4-8. I think I'll be getting some of those for next year.
