cool key

got out for a little detecting yesterday. came across a cool old key, a tax commission token, a fired round ball, and a lot of the great pull tabs and trash. but all in all it was a good evening hunt.

These are different types of skeleton keys---TOP 2 PICS--used to pick locks. There are other types of skeleton keys.
A skeleton key is a type of master key in which the serrated edge has been filed down so that it can open numerous locks. The term derives from the fact that the key has been reduced to its essential parts.

These are door keys---BELOW 2PICS -----------used to open a specific type door.

I realize that most folks call them ALL skeleton keys, but there is a difference.
