Finally got a break in the temperature after 64 days of 100 plus.
got out to one of my favorite spots but forgot my jackhammer.
Man that ground is hard. Found the usual 22 shells and shotgun brass,
then found the right and left brooch looking things. About 10 ft from
them I found the fob. It is advertising for National Sportsman Magazine
It has a buck with protruding snout, crossed fishing poles, and a rifle. Thanks for looking

Thanks for the comments and info. Very interesting.

nice finds well done

I found one of those fobs but i wish it was in as good of shape as yours congrats

Like finding fobs as much as I like finding silver! Great pieces of history!

Nice find!

Sure is nice to get a break in the heat and get back out. But, just as you said, the ground is soooo hard right now. I was out today near Athens and it was like trying to dig through an adobe wall.

have yet to find one of those. pretty cool nonetheless!

cool fob! hope you guys get some rain down there soon.i can't imagine living in that heat and drought conditions :-\

That is a cool find. Will display nicely. :icon_thumleft:

I think that piece above the shotgun shells is an organ reed.

I found all these at the same site over the years.

Cool find!
Buckwheat never said O'Tay, it was Spanky who said that.
