It's hard to say without actually having them in hand. Nice color & size, but are there flaws is it clear, etc. Does he own the property where he found them? I would try to go digging with him.

by flaws do you mean lil dark green crystals that poke out unusually that make weird lil bumps

Try taking them outta the bag and photograph each one on a white background.

Flaws, in terms of gems are some kind of inclusions in the gem. But cracks and fissures are also included in that term.
