By the way, if anybody can mention what's wrong with it (No, it's not counterfeit), you'll get props.

The slanted mint mark gave it away! Also has a missing point on one of the stars.

I don't believe that bigscores is wanting the normal Die Markers for an 1878-CC Morgan Silver Dollar "VAM-9"! I may be wrong in my assessment but I believe that the coin was struck with a mis-aligned or missing Collar, thus the sunken rim outside of the denticles.

Ah, you caught one of the issues, but you didn't get the right reason...

Oh well, at least I got 1 out of X and wasn't too sure about that either as the Coin Grading Services holders hide a lot of the rims! I will take another look and see if I can spot the problem with the coin.

Was it previously set in a piece of jewlery or a belt buckle?

Yep, ex-jewelry. It's also been lightly cleaned, it's covered in barely visible hairlines. Otherwise, an exceptional coin, would have probably been a 65. A real shame. Paid $150, off ebay.

Lol I stared at it for 20 minutes looking for some minor error or imperfection! Guess I had to back up and see the whole picture.
