cool thrifshop find

I found something very cool in a thriftshop two stone sculptures, they are made of andesite.

well i don't know but both have been made by the same artist and came from a house clearance.

those are interesting, The second sculpture is pretty nice, would make a nice flower garden addition

I like the reclining figure the best...guessing you got a good deal on those...those are unusual finds! Any artist marks?

What counts in the long run is that you like them...they are not your typical pieces...I wonder if there's a forum on t-net that can zone in on a time period these represent...and if they are replicas....or not...the larger one makes me think of Picasso...the other one of Pompeii...or some kind of cemetery piece...I'm no expert, just shooting from the hip...they'd look nice in a garden perhaps....or in a room of books.

I bet some incredible stuff ends up at Thrift shops and goodwill , occasionally. Something gets put away in the basement or attic, the person passes away. and everybody just thinks its junk. "Off to The Goodwill". unfortunately probably more ends up in the trash.
