Dug this token at 8". Got my Lesche a little too close to it (by too close I mean scraped the front). Did a little research and it looks to be a 1914 token. Really cool, different find

Am I seeing that right?.. A Florida token dug in Illinois...? That's interesting as well.

That's a nice find and, that ole boy is a long way from his home.
 

I showed this token to my uncle who is 84 years old. He asked how old the token was and I told him it was from 1914. Then he said that is about the time that the coal mining really started to flourish in this area (as told by my grandpa/his dad) and people were moving in from all over the country to try to get a piece of the mining action. I said that would explain a Florida token, especially a luggage company token, in Illinois
