They sure didn't mind making big tools in your area. That 2 tone long piece sure is interesting. You found some real good stuff over the weekend.

Flake type of knife? Looks pretty flat. Love the color on it.

Not sure on the first one Painter but the others are some cool tools. Big!:thumbsup:
 

Thanks I wasn't either was hoping someone has found something like it it's pretty badly creek worn and with a lack of hard stone I wonder how much they may have used limestone for things
 

I know they played around with limestone as I have some large worked pieces but I think they knew it was not good for much. Maybe the kids knapped it a little?
 

I was thinking I do allot of excavating and some nodules have some very unique shapes that make it hard to tell I guess
 

Lots of cretaceous fossils in Tn Limestone here. I used to peck out the little shells as a kid. Now we blast it when we hit it on Job sites. I am surrounded by limestone quarries and caves. Imagine you are too!
