Looks like electrical contacts. The markings are odd though.

One is an eagle holding a shield and the other looks like a scull with crossbones?

That's an ID that you can be certain of. Well done.

These normally had designs from their makers, or sometimes they had British markings (VR for "Victoria Regina" or GR for "Georgius Rex"). Look at the dates for the monarchs to date the production of the locks.

P.S.--the bottom keyhole cover you found has two crossed keys in the design.

These are from locks often referred to as "smokehouse locks," and they date late 1700s to mid 1800s. I am almost certain I have a match to the eagle one somewhere.
