Went out detecting for a little bit between rain showers and dug a large copper bucket wasn't going to dig it until I saw it was copper I'm guessing maybe 1800s it weighs about 5lbs after I cleaned it off IMG_20180403_114132013.webp

how much is copper scrap going for now? actually, that is a very awesome find, very cool too
 

Not sure but that's what I had in mind since it's in such bad shape
 

No not bad about $12 for 15 min of enjoyment maybe I'll get on to something good I have found a axe head and 1830s silver close by
 

Don't think it was part of a still do you? Big copper stuff makes me think like that, but that shape doesn't unless it had a lid....
 

Could have been I dug up a lot of charred wood with it
