Today was really warm so 2 layers had to come off!
We spend just over 3 hours completing the small Corner Pond site. Its never produced much, in fact the 6 scrappies we got this year is our best result in all the years we have done it!
Other finds were;

4 Scrappies
Broken bit of a Roman Fibula (Brooch)
Pot Leg/foot
James I Coin Weight
Roman Chest Stud (A first for us)8-)

After lunch we spent 1.5 hours in 2 very wet horse paddocks where we found;
1942 50 Cal Blue Tip Bullet
1797 Penny
Circa 1880s Cricket Buckle (Thought I had my first CW Plate!):thumbsup:

That's some nice finds! Here in Sweden it would be extremely hard to find an roman/viking period coin. But in UK you guys are finding them all over the place haha

How do you figure that a James I coin weight? The photo doesn’t show much I suppose, so I guess I answered my own question.

That chest-stud is incredible- that’s the winner of the day IMhO
