After getting two 1880 and an 1879 IHPs there, I figured it was a good fit for a site to come up with a 77 or 78, both of which I have never found. Well, I didn't get those, but I about fell over when I got home and cleaned the one penny I did find. What's harder to find than a 78 (except 77, of course)? Even as hard as it is to find, I did find one in 1992 in the Decatur Dig. It has great details, but was attacked by corrosion like so many of the copper coins from under the sidewalks are. The brown one is the Decatur coin. The one with the beautiful green patina is the one I just got from the cornfield. My eyes say it grades VF details. The brown one is XF details, but the corrosion kills the value of that one.

Well done SIR :) I am waiting for a word from you :)

Except for the overdates and doubled die's, the 1909S is the second most valuable Indian cent behind the 1877. That 1872 is a beauty though! :icon_thumleft:
