An archaeologist has found what appears to be a large encampment from Coronado's 1540 expedition to what is now the southwest USA! Remarkable that they found crossbow bolt points here in the US!! They found a lot of the metal artifacts with detectors.

No, most were overnight camp sites on the Camino Real or near the mines in north west Chihuahua. Most the stuff around here was located before I was born. I thought I had found some treasure markers but they turned out to be Mogollon.

Wow!
Thanks for the post!
I love it when archaeology Proves history and helps fill in blanks of our heritage

I went to an Archie's presentation, regarding a campsite in Ohio, where he found "hundreds of artifacts".

turns out it was 2 broken points, and hundreds of flakes of flint.:BangHead:

Incredible discovery. There was another Spanish explorer Alvar Cabeza de Vaca. He walked from Tampa Florida (shipwrecked) to Rio Grande and into Mexico. Took him 4 years.

Thanks Gunsil!

They are certainly holding their cards close when it comes to photos.

Looking at her website, it appears she is holding out some information to capitalize on her discovery through lectures and books. https://www.deni-seymour.com/books
