Did you ever get any interest in the perry quarters? Just curious.

No, not really. I think I'll hang on to one roll and dump the rest next week

Worked some more boxes today.

Brinks Dimes Box- Skunk

3 Brinks Cent Box

1. 4 Wheats
2. 6 Wheats
3. 8 Wheats

All were 40's-50's except for a really worn out 1909. I can barely see the date and there doesn't appear to be a mint mark or VDB so just a regular 1909, but fun to find one anyway

Finished up my stock for the weekend, only 1 penny box.

Brinks Cent Box- 5 wheats

Attended a coin auction today picked up a couple of Walking Libertys for 12.50 each. Lots of competition today but auction had several interesting lots including a 1889 CC Morgan, 1909 S VDB Lincoln Cent, and a 1924 Double Eagle. All out of my price range!

Brinks Quarter Box- Skunk

Brink Dime Box- Skunk (6 straight boxes)-- Seems to be a long dry spell for dimes, seeing lots of 2013's

I am really disappointed with the dime production. Skunk after skunk with some solid 2013's or 80% 2013's. I was using dimes to keep me sane as I dealt with skunky halves. Now I have to use nickels to keep me from going crazy.

Yes I used dimes as a break from halves but they are becoming just as frustrating. Speaking of Halves

Brinks Halves Box- Skunk

I may have to rethink my strategies a bit moving forward, I've been almost at what I consider my max volume on all denominations (cents, nickels, dimes, quarters, halves) dumping is becoming a pain, banks asking too many questions, rude tellers, etc. My main bank the one I keep my personal accounts for have apparently had staff talking back and forth about the "guy bringing in all the coins".

On the other hand I've been pulling bicentennial quarters out of my quarter searching and came up with a couple of rolls, threw them up on eBay and both rolls sold within about an hour... So I will continue to pull those out.

As an update on the Perry's victory bank rolls, haven't dumped them yet, kept one and sold one on eBay so far. So I'm hanging on to the rest to see if there is more interest.

Me too...I am getting some resistance from some banks...mentioning fees...talking about how I'm not a commercial client...glares from the tellers who used to find a silver dime occaissionally until I started culling them...having to have someone change out the bags in the counting machine...comments like "wow that's a lot of coins"...one bank makes me write my name and phone number on each roll that I dump (I avoid them if I can)...one bank said "we can only give you $100 in coins a visit"...my wife wondering about how we can afford to have $1000 of coins sitting around (she doesn't quite get the point that we aren't keeping them for good)...ugggh

I am going to keep going for now but this is definitely a low couple of weeks for me.

LTHH (less than happy hunting)

I get those comments from my wife also. Her biggest complaint. Is that we could get robbed any time.

I've scaled back quite a bit recently had to start working out more as my officiating season will start in August, must get in shape. Did manage a box of halves yesterday

June 14

Brinks Halves Box- Skunk

Worked a Brinks halves box today- 11 40% not too bad.

No silver for me today but a couple of different finds for me.

Thursday May 23

Brinks Halves Box- Skunk (Gold plated half)

Brinks Quarters Box- 2000-S South Carolina Clad Proof

Brinks Nickel Box- Dateless Buffalo, with a drilled hole, fun to find a buffalo, disappointed with the hole. Also one of the best 1940 Nickels I've seen, guessing it would be a high AU grade.

That 1940 nickel could even grade MS I think.

Wow, I've been gone awhile! Had to take some time off for other obligations and did just a very small amount of hunting over the last several months, but it looks like I may be able to pick back up so I'm reviving my log.

April 8, 2014

2 Brinks Nickel Boxes yielded:

2- 1945P silvers
2- Buffalos (dateless & 1937)
2- 1930's
27- 1940's
20- 1950's

I'm going to try and wake up my halves pipeline and get back to it!
