I'm looking for gold jewelry . This river has had 1000's of people each year floating it on kayaks ,rafts ,tubes . I would say 85% drink alcohol as they go down . Not to many people around here have detectors or underwater detectors for that matter and I thought dowsing may be a good start. Thanks

I'm new to map dowsing but I've been doing fairly well in my local adventures so far. Take it for what you will.

Well the 2 spots below the bridge is a camp site and that's were people swim. The blue dot to the far right people swim a lot there to but it has a lot of bed rock. Thanks I will check these spot out tomorrow .

You might have to use your prospecting skills on this one. When the river floods or runs high, I'll bet the gold would be moved and catch in the bedrock or down stream of the boulders. If you find clusters of coins/jewelery that's what's happening. If this is in OK, you might not enough flow. After this summer, the water is probably really low.

It is really low right now but in the Spring it hits 14 feet above normal there is a lot of bed rock and a lot of gravel . If I could just get a clue on were the gold settles .

Well if you want to know where the gold "settles" rob in KS is 100% correct. Behind big boulders is a good spot. Also on the insides of the bends and in the bottom of deep pools if you can get to them. However that's going to be downstream of where your high activity is not in the same area. If you're looking for gold lost this summer in the specific areas then you're going to just have to hunt the area. I dowsed for lost jewelry and that's what I got.

The one with the river showing both sides, north side signals were surface to about 3 feet deep. Others surface to 4 feet deep. Red circles for loose coins/jewelry.

Thanks guys I got a lead on were 800 dollars face value in gold coins were found in the 80's . They dug them out by hand scattered in the ground with no metal detector. I have an idea were they dug them out but not for sure . I have about a 500 yard square that were they were . I'll post some picks . Thanks for the help

When gold is in the water it will slowly work it’s way down to bedrock. The only time it will move is when the whole river bed has enough water to turn the bottom over. I would go down there at low water and take photo’s recording and marking the spots where I took the photo’s. I would then return when the water was high and repeat the photo’s. Compare the before and after photo’s...Always remember that those inside bents may be fast water when it is high. The gold will only fall out of the fast water in low presser spots like inside bends and large boulders or other obstructions...Art
