I went to a bank on the far side of the city today where I found my first silver roosevelt a few weeks ago and I was looking for another box of dimes. The teller I was dealing with was very inexperienced and couldn't ask me enough times "A whole box?!?"
As the teller was bringing over the box and began counting the rolls someone came to the teller next to me with a bag full of coin rolls. At first I though, perhaps he is cashing in his long lost change jar, but he had nothing but nickels
. So my two first immediate thoughts were,
1, he could have searched a box of nickels and he is dumping here, or
2, he is getting rid of the nickel collection his elderly family member once had.
But my paranoid instincts tell me it is probably scenario #1
. I am still tempted to clean that bank out of nickels just to find out, perhaps I will get lucky, I might go back there tomorrow just to find out and to keep occupied through the bank holiday.
And the box of dimes produced a 1957 queen and a 5 centavo cuban coin. I'm not gonna let this nickel guy know there is still silver out there, I want it all to myself
