Thx🙂There may be other ieas also. Still is unique find. Also WELCOME to Treasurenet![]()
The axe can still be restored right?
It sure looks like an axe to me.And I don't think its a firefighter axe
I mean there's huge chance it can be very old I just don't know where to go to check itIt sure looks like an axe to me.
I don't think it's that old, but I could be wrong. I guess it depends on your soil conditions, but I've seen axe heads in far worse shape that I know have been in the ground only about a hundred years at most. Yours doesn't have that much rust or pitting, and even still has some of the wood of the handle. It's a very cool find, I just don't think it's super old.I mean there's huge chance it can be very old I just don't know where to go to check it
I cleaned off the rust the shape was not recognized maybe you are right I had contactedI don't think it's that old, but I could be wrong. I don't think so I am from lithuniaBefore i do some checking... i will go ahead and state this...
I think you have just found a REAL piece of Native history.
It's actually small and light and you can see its not the same you can see bottom is not that wide as this bottoms and top is to different its for farming morewhy are there two threads on the same object, View attachment 2225264 as I posted on your other thread it's a forestry fire fighters axe.
I don't think you are right but hers a couple pictures and I don't think it broke and so.one did as you said its better to change rhe wood and it probably disappeared the wood from the axemaybe post up the size and a pic of what you feel it is. with wood in the handle it's not some ancient artifact, someone broke their axe and pitched it.
I agree it look cool and its okay everyone has there options right😉I'll stick with my opinion of it being an axe, I find them often . cleaned up and a new handle and you've got a nice wall hanger.
