I found it in lithunia where Castel used to be in river while metal detecting

I mean there's huge chance it can be very old I just don't know where to go to check it
I don't think it's that old, but I could be wrong. I guess it depends on your soil conditions, but I've seen axe heads in far worse shape that I know have been in the ground only about a hundred years at most. Yours doesn't have that much rust or pitting, and even still has some of the wood of the handle. It's a very cool find, I just don't think it's super old.

why are there two threads on the same object, View attachment 2225264 as I posted on your other thread it's a forestry fire fighters axe.
It's actually small and light and you can see its not the same you can see bottom is not that wide as this bottoms and top is to different its for farming more

maybe post up the size and a pic of what you feel it is. with wood in the handle it's not some ancient artifact, someone broke their axe and pitched it.

I don't think you are right but hers a couple pictures and I don't think it broke and so.one did as you said its better to change rhe wood and it probably disappeared the wood from the axe

I'll stick with my opinion of it being an axe, I find them often . cleaned up and a new handle and you've got a nice wall hanger.
