Had a few psych out’s lately. Killing time with an oil change thought it might be worth sharing. Sometimes the shape and material is there but it’s still not a tool.

That first one looks like something from a “Do it Yourself Arrow Building Kit”, circa 5000 BC. All you have to do is finish the edges. Wow! It is so believable as an artifact. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah the first one doesn’t have a single bit of edge retouching and the stair step on the back confirmed it’s just a flake but covered in a bit of dirt I sure thought I had something.
Second one got me when the “barb” was sticking out in a pile of crumbled limestone.
