Haven't gone dirt fishing in quite a while, and got the itch to go out before the snow. I found a couple of silver looking discs, but they turned out to be pennies... I think there's an annual easter egg hunt at this park and it seems they paint the pennies different colors
. My hopes of finding old coins were renewed when I pulled out a '53 wheatie - which led to oh so close '66 and '69 dimes, but nothing older. So still haven't found any silver with my bounty hunter T4, but I think it's possible on a lucky day. That was my only the second wheatie I've found, so it was a pretty good day nonetheless.
These harsh New England seasons and soil are hell on the copper. Both wheaties I've found looked like this -don't know how you guys find nice looking CU a hundred years old.
