Couple neat relics....last field hunt of the 2012

Well this yr is quickly coming to an end. It was 42 degrees today, calling for 20 degrees 25mph winds and snow on friday...yuck!!!
So I knew today I just had to get out to a field ONE last time to scratch that itch. I got off at 3pm, got to the field by 335pm, so I had a lil over an hour to hunt before dark, been to this field earlier this fall and it didn't produce much, but I had a feeling at least one cool find was there waiting for me, and I was right!!!!!! Last dig of the night, just before dark produced the 1939 Ohio chauffeur badge, and it is in superb shape after I cleaned it up!

Although that key isn't an original to the "lock", I'd bet it would fit in an original Model A Ford ignition switch. I had quite a few when I was restoring old Fords.
When I would find an original ignition cable I could usually a key to fit. Maybe on the other side would be an "A" with a 3 digit number. Nice finds.

Oh man that tag cleaned real nice. Hopefully In January my hunting season begins.
