Where did this case come from? I'm not totally following your question......

Keep on posting, Mud! I enjoy seeing everybody's artifacts.

thanks chip im like a kid with a new toy just figured out how to post pics and to answer your question crj i took all the stuff out of a case and that thin blue sheet of foam was what my artifacts where sitting on there being a thicker peice under it es you can see it left an impression of what was there i msy have confused you by talking about the nutting stones in a run on sentence no punctuation and such

Ah I understand now that you wrote a run on sentence that encompassed a set of subjects all in one long line and there was a question in there but not about the foam but about the stones I do not know much about stones like that but I hope you get some info seems you must have a very nice collection. :)

All in fun my friend. :occasion14:

They were used as a multi purpose tool. Grinder, nutter, hammer, anvil which I think it a lap stone and sharpener. Not all were used in that order or together. Most of the ones I find are at least 2 of the items I listed. Some of them can even be natural called Omars. In your hand the 1 on the right is worked cant see the one on the left well.
