i was detecting an old farm here in Shelby county
and recovered both of these within a few feet of
each other and was wondering how they got here...

Let me expound...
The one with the hole is Australian and bronze. Without the hole the value would be about $0.25.
The other is from Great Britain and it too is bronze. In the condition yours is in, it would sell for about $1.00.
