The weather was perfect for searching today so i got out for a few hours to a nearby site this afternoon. After spraying myself with repellant to keep the ticks off, i headed into some nearby woods that looked promising with a long stone wall running the length of the hilltop. Found a King George Copper(1739) and a lot of square nails. The last thing found before heading to my truck was what looks like a spigot. It is hollow and has some weight to it. Can someone give me some info on it(Age, used on?). It's the 1st one i've found. Thanks for reading MM2

Good finds! Those barrel taps are highly underrated relics! :icon_thumright:

Those are some real nice finds. Got to be many more goodies where those came from. Looking forward to seeing what comes out next.

Thanks for the replies, a barrel tap. Can it be dated based on the style? Has to be more there.

Very cool finds!

All the best,

Lanny
