Couple of decroative buttons from Craigslist site

Here are a couple of what I believe are buttons or pulls from some old furnature....these were found last week at a homesite that was recently torn down...the house was from around 1915..Not sure on the metal of the first one, but it does still have a bit of shine to it...maybe silver? back looks like it may have had a srew on back to hold it in place...second "pull" has screw still on the back, and it marked Alpaca Mexico, and has nice engraving on it..Any ideas on what these are from?
