Hi Everybody! Swung the Patriot today near old dumping area for Chinese RR camp. I absolutely hate this site, there is visible iron sprinkled on the ground like gravel! It gets frustrating very quickly. Years ago I found a 1931 CA license plate here and some other cool relics. So, I dug a shotgun shell and a couple bullet casings and then hit this item my wife described as a shoe clip. May possibly be silver though! Then I was detecting a singletrack path going back to my truck and saw part of what I thought was a mason jar, flush with surrounding ground. As I carefully dug around it, I realized it was a complete bottle. Never heard of Horlicks, Malted Milk Lunch Tablets, but I believe it to be from 1920's or so. Fun times, but this place would give any detector fits!
